Hexagon ALI is looking for a Senior Database Consultant to join our Cloud Services team in Brazil.

We wish to hire a Senior Database Consultant who can provide hands-on technical engineering and ownership of the growing cloud database environment, across multiple providers using Private and Public cloud platforms. You will work closely with our Product Centre groups as well our Cloud Operations team to help build secure and robust Databases for all Cloud customers.  

 

Qualifications

Role Description:

The Senior Database Consultant provides expertise in the analysis, assessment, development, and evaluation of Database solutions and architectures hosting multiple customers. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifies database requirements; analyzing department applications, programming, and operations; evaluating existing systems and designing proposed systems.
  • AWS and Azure Database design and implementation.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on Cloud Databases.
  • Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.
  • Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts; recommending optimum access techniques; coordinating installation requirements.
  • Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products.
  • Conducting team training; providing information; resolving problems.
  • Provides information by answering questions and requests.
  • Supports database functions by designing and coding utilities.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Develops standards, policies and procedures as well as best practices documentation.
  • BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
  • Advanced English skills, written and verbal.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
  • Previous experience with Public, Private and Hybrid cloud Database technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS.
  • Database Performance Tuning, Database Security, Promoting Process Improvement, Problem Solving, Presenting Technical Information, Quality Focus, Database Management, Data Maintenance, Operating Systems, Information Security Policies.
  • Working experience as a Database administrator.
  • Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL.
  • Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
  • Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools.
  • Familiarity with programming languages API.
